How refreshing, he took less than a minute to get to the heart of the matter.

I wish other videos would do this without stretching the answer out and hiding it around the 23 minute mark...

I appreciate how straight forward he is. Most people on YouTube start their vids with a 3 minute intro until they start explaining ffs.

Ive been ice bath/cold plunge advocate for years. Not only is cold/ice water physically and mentally beneficial, it’s quite possibly the fastest and deepest meditation I’ve ever experienced. No choice but to be completely present.

I read once that a quick shot of colder water at the end of a hot shower also reduces post-shower sweating in hot and humd weather, leading to a more durable feeling and probably reality of cleanliness. Seems to work also.

I can confirm that the healthiest time of my life were the couple of years when I had the opportunity to swim in cold water every day. The boost in health was dramatic compared to before, as much as the decrease after I could no longer do it.

That's quite the straightforward video in youtube standards, considering it is actually useful, normally videos would start with the origin of water, and how it got it's name

It's also been recommended as treatment for anxiety. For the last 30 seconds of your shower, turn the water as cold as possible, then focus on keeping your breathing the same. Over time, it teaches your brain to control your breathing even when you're body is distressed.

I've been finishing my shower with a cold one for about 7 years. Your body warms up very quickly after a cold shower. After a while you can't have a shower without doing it as you feel so much better.

My father taught me that as a little kid and I never liked it and eventually stopped doing it.

I usually take a 4 minute cold shower 3 times a week from November through February to quickly accumulate myself to winter months and keep myself accumulated. I first did it 2 years ago as an assignment for a college course and I was amazed the difference it made after just two weeks (of course for that assignment it was everyday). Highly recommend it if you have the guts. The first half is always the worst haha

65year old Canadian here, and I start taking cold showers on December 1st yearly, which is late fall here. By early winter in January, I transition to cold water exposure in a local creek and lake. I cold shower 6 days per week and never shower with hot water. This method prepares and toughens the organism for the cold climate. I stop the cold water showers and immersion in the spring. I like cold water and air.
